To mark the 53rd International Art Exhibition (Venice Biennale), illycaffè will be presenting the new individual illy Art Collection espresso cup designed by Tobias Rehberger, an artist chosen by Daniel Birnbaum, the director of the 53rd exhibition, to design the bar and restaurant inside the new exhibition building in the Biennale gardens.

Academy Award-winning filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar is the latest world-renowned artist to create an original, limited-edition series of coffee cups for the illy Art Collection. Dating to 1992, the leading Italian coffee company’s collaborations with eminent visual contemporary artists have produced striking, much-sought-after cups, designed to enhance the enjoyment of coffee in pairing it with beautiful objects.

For a while, we have been working on its design, functionality and details, and today we are happy to finally welcome our readers to the new forum.
